Following the acquisition of Independent Distillers Australia in 2013, Asahi Breweries engaged us to developed a corporate identity system for the group’s new company – Asahi Beverages. This was to see the merging of both Asahi Premium Beverages (formerly Independent Distillers Australia) with their sister company, Schweppes Australia. This project was used as the launching platform for the two businesses as they moved forward with unified corporate and HR functions, leaving their commercial units to remain independently branded.
The design strategy focused on creating a new brandmark, brand architecture model and identity system that signified the unification of both Australian businesses into the new Asahi Beverages brand. The classic and understated visual strategy was designed to honour the authentic origins of the Asahi parent brand, whilst also capturing the effervescent spirit and personality of the Schweppes Australia business – injecting warmth, energy and modernity.
In mid 2015 we were asked to create their first corporate website. A visual and verbal language was developed as a natural extension of corporate identity system – classic understated style with a genuine innovative culture. Our team had the privilege to work collaboratively with the Corporate Affairs, Communications and Marketing teams to ensure the outcomes were showcasing their portfolio breadth and reaffirming the businesses values and vision. We partnered with Mity Digital for the construction and all things technical including in-house Content Management Training with the Asahi Beverages team. The outcome is a fresh, fully dynamic and user-friendly solution that helps communicate the strength, integrity and progressive values of Asahi Beverages.
