As a well-known and loved pre-mixed alcohol brand, Vodka Cruiser had behaved as two individual brands in the New Zealand and Australian markets despite the core consumer and consumption occasion being very similar. Asahi Premium Beverages approached The Edison Agency to develop a strategic design solution that reinforced its relevance in both markets — creating a truly global brand that was expressive, spirited, socially connected and confident.
The Edison Agency were inspired by the “live in the moment” ethos of the brand and developed a visual identity system that not only solved the trans-tasman challenges, but ensured that the key image assets could be integrated into the through-the-line communications. The packaging design system demonstrated the new visual style and positioning across multiple formats including slimline cans, bottles, share packs and multi-pack cases. The new Vodka Cruiser ‘Flavour Explosion’ artworks are hand-crafted unique expressions of the taste experience and celebrate the contemporary spirit and energy of the brand.
