Amber Bonney

Amber is the founder and owner of The Edison Agency, a new creative venture following the successful establishment of specialist brand and packaging agency, Bonney Creative.

Amber’s depth of experience stems from the diversity of work throughout her 19 year career in the creative services industry with a specialized interest in fast-moving consumer goods. Her strategic ability to create and nurture brands both visually and through written narrative stems from the breadth of local and international experience in major identity programs for Astra Zeneca, Volkswagen, British American Tobacco, Lend Lease, Schweppes Australia, Asahi Premium Beverages, Cerebos, Goodman Fielder, Lion and Mondolez.

As a big-picture thinker, designer painter, mother, writer and closet comedian – Amber’s achievements are as diverse as her ambitions and interests. A dynamic and colourful character, she is always evolving and challenging herself – never quite satisfied with the status quo and always in search for solutions that are “different and better”.

A classically trained designer, Amber holds a degree in Visual Communication and Design from Swinburne University of Technology and is a regular guest lecturer, writer, design judge and mentor and in brand design and packaging communication.

Sebastian co-found The Edison Agency with Amber following an extensive 15+ years career in traditional advertising, brand and media agencies.

Sebastian is an excellent communicator and has a unique ability to build and foster deep relationships – he is the master network-er and makes it his job to know “who’s who in the zoo”! His innate understanding of brands and culture gives him a formidable ‘x factor’ which not only wins him the respect of his colleagues and clients, but is pivotal to his ability to engage people and groups to advance understanding of goals and objectives and align contrasting opinions towards a common goal.

Working for some of the most well-regarded agencies in Australia managing a portfolio of high profile clients, including Lion Alcohol Beverages, Schweppes Australia, Mars Chocolate, Mars Pet, Fonterra, BIC and SPC, Sebastian is primed to take his learnings – and unrivaled passion for the retail and FMCG market – to the next level and create a truly end-to-end business model to produce work that works!

Sebastian holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing and Media from RMIT University. Outside of work you will find him fixated with the latest fitness craze (at the moment it’s F45), burning off some of his relentless energy and the week’s food and wine indulgences!
