The company said Brown Brothers Prosecco Spritz rolled out at the end of March. The drink, which is a blend of Brown Brothers Prosecco with orange and aromatic bitters, follows a similar launch by Pernod Ricard last year - Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz.
The launches aim to capitalise on the rising popularity of the aperitif occasion. The 8.5% abv expression from Brown Brothers is made using grapes from across south-eastern Australia.
“This is the first release of our Prosecco Spritz, joining the ever-popular collection of Prosecco wines we produce,” said Brown Brothers. “The Prosecco Spritz is a fresh twist on the traditional Prosecco style ideal for pouring over ice as an aperitif.”
