Grubbo, a new insect-based protein pet food, aimed to address urgent climate action needs. As the first of its kind in Australia and a direct-to-consumer product, Grubbo needed a unique and impactful design that pet owners would want to share.
The solution celebrated the pet’s perspective, using a primary color palette of blue, black, and white based on a dog’s spectral range. The design featured a playful world of organic ingredients, grub protein, and cheeky pets, emphasizing Grubbo’s unique proposition.The Edison Agency designed Grubbo’s packaging with a low carbon approach, incorporating single color print, graphic images, and color-blocked fixes to ensure sustainability. In the digital realm, pops of color contrasted the graphic approach, allowing the product to stand out.
The project was taken on via ‘Design for Good’, Edison Agency’s community program aiming to achieve a balance between profit, people and planet.
