The Social Studio, a not-for-profit supporting young Australians from refugee or migrant backgrounds, sought to evolve its branding and visual identity. The goal was to enhance their visual presence and community confidence, reflecting their work in retail, hospitality, and fashion.
The Edison Agency was engaged to develop a new brand identity that captured the unique character, cultural diversity, and depth of The Social Studio’s people. The aim was to create a design that embodied warmth, diversity, and optimism.
Through informal investigations and interviews with students and staff, Edison explored several branding opportunities. The final solution centered on The Social Studio’s philosophy, using vibrant colors and tribal-like patterns to symbolize connection, passion, and creativity. The project scope included interior architecture, exterior signage, website interface, catering collateral, and stationery design.
The new branding gave The Social Studio a stronger visual presence and highlighted the organization’s warmth, diversity, and optimism, enhancing their ability to support young Australians in education and employment.
