creating a new Classic for Dairy Farmers
The Edison Agency were engaged by Bega Dairy & Drinks to develop the packaging design for a limited edition range of Dairy Farmers Classic flavoured milk. The range was to tap into the nostalgia of Aussie milk bars through quintessential flavours like Hokey Pokey and Banana Split - yum.
The new range had to be fun and visually de-lish, and leverage Dairy Farmers Classic positioning to own the nostalgic, Aussie milk bar theme (a match made in heaven). The end goal was to feel congruent with the Dairy Farmers Classic brand while being playful and disruptive, packing a punch on shelf and clearly communicating the unique flavour platform.
The end design creates an instant impact on shelf, with the iconic red and white striped building awning front and centre. Flavour cameos recreated in a hand-painted style tap into the sentimentality of the milk bar theme, taking you on a tasty trip down memory lane. It's this combination of milk-bar awning paired with bold backgrounds and contrasting type that creates serious cut through, giving a hit of retro nostalgia that shoppers can’t say no to.
